Oncologists, especially community oncologists, are overwhelmed trying to synthesize data from imaging, pathology, labs, and prior treatments into a coherent treatment plan usually in 10-15 minutes. Modern oncology has increasingly sophisticated instruments including genomic sequencing, liquid biopsies, pharmacogenomics, epigenomics, and PET-CT fusion imaging. The data exists to provide patients the optimal care but the ideal tool does not. I’ve worked in this space for over a decade in sales, marketing, and strategy and I believe that a useful tool, an AI copilot for oncologists for lack of a better phrase, could be built to help these oncologists.
