Public AI Inference Utility

Public AI is first of all an idea: that AI is and can be a form of public infrastructure like highways, parks, libraries, water, electricity, and the Internet itself.

The Public AI Inference Utility is a nonprofit, open-source project that provides inference for public AI. Our team builds products and organizes advocacy to support the work of public AI model builders like the Swiss AI Initiative, AI Singapore, AI Sweden, and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.

We are fiscally sponsored by Metagov and funded by Mozilla, the Future of Life Institute, and the Center for Cultural Innovation.
